Operating within a COMAH Top Tier environment, the role involves major process improvement and capital projects at a site producing high-value specialitychemical products for global markets. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, driving continuous improvement, and working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a modern manufacturing environment.

The Role

As part of the Process Technology team, you will support projects across both active ingredient and formulation plants, contributing throughout the full engineering life cycle.

Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Support cost reduction and process optimisation projects.
  • Provide process design, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Work within a robust process safety and COMAH framework.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities for new and modified plant.
  • Use digital engineering tools, process data and AI-assisted technologies to improve manufacturing performance.

You'll Ideally Have
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within a process manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of process safety principles and HAZOP studies.
  • Experience delivering process improvements or engineering projects.
  • An interest in digital engineering tools, process data and emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is advantageous but not essential.
