Nuclear Senior Process Engineer (Full-time / Part-time)

AtkinsRéalis is looking to grow our team of process engineers within the Nuclear EMEA business. If you have the passion to join some of these exciting projects, then we would love to hear from you.

Your role

Work collaboratively to solve technical challenges across the entire project lifecycle, from concept design to decommissioning. Day to day activities include production of process engineering deliverables such as process sizing calculations, heat & material balances, P&IDs, process modelling, and process safety activities (HAZID/HAZOP studies, DSEAR assessments). Collaborate across the AtkinsRéalis business to provide technical expertise where it is needed, giving clients the best engineering solutions. Strengthen delivery of work through embedded resources, site based roles, or in house engineering support. Focus on providing high quality work to the client.

About you
  • Lead a small team of engineers and be confident in front of clients.
  • Qualified engineer (BEng/MEng in Chemical or Process Engineering) with IChemE chartership preferred.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry ideal; understanding of nuclear basics required.
  • Proficient with chemical process simulation software packages to design, optimise, and troubleshoot chemical processes.
  • Experience in model based systems approach (MBSA) projects desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers; keen to take a key role within the department.

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will depend on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by UKSV and may require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer.
