Location: Warrington or Abingdon (hybrid)
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Providing specialist design services to internal/external customers.
- The production of design deliverables (e.g. drawings, reports or calculations) to agreed standards of safety, cost, quality and time.
- Contributing to the economic design of systems and equipment.
- Overseeing the work of others and developing the skills and abilities of others for the benefit of the company.
- Providing advice and guidance on issues appropriate to their discipline.
- Actively participating in the development and application of appropriate technical and managerial processes and systems in teams work area.
- Organising, supervising, monitoring and developing the team to deliver successful outputs.
- Identifying major technical uncertainties and referring them for decision by higher authority.
- Complying with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and processes applicable to the role.
Qualifications
- A BEng (Hons) or MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a Process Engineer, Chemical Engineer or Design Engineer on a Nuclear site or a highly regulated site.
- A chartered member of the IChemE or suitable experience.
- Experience in supporting the production & development of process discipline documents and demonstrating the capability to work within a team.
- Experience of delivering projects for Sellafield/AWE sites or highly regulated sites.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a security vetting process. Offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted. Travel to other Orano offices and client sites may be necessary. You should be willing to work flexibly to accommodate project and client requirements.
