As a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer, you'll be part of our Nuclear Engineering Group, a Technical Authority within Babcock's Devonport Naval Nuclear sector. You'll contribute to the design of, and modification and through life support to, fixed, portable and temporary pressure systems and associated equipment that provide critical submarine interfaces and support activities including system testing and commissioning, temperature and chemistry control, and radioactive waste receipt, storage, treatment and disposal.
Day to day, you'll author design documentation, produce Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and drawings, undertake engineering analyses, and provide technical advice to ensure compliance with nuclear regulations and pressure system standards. You'll work in an agile, collaborative environment that supports career progression and professional development.
What you'll doThis role is based onsite 3 days per week as a minimum in Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth.
What you'll needThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
