The Process Engineer is a brand new addition to the team, purely down to growth and continuing development. Our client is a Technical Engineering company based in St Neots. They are looking for an enthusiastic hands on Process Engineer to join their current team.

Key Functions for the Process Engineer:

- Process Development, Process Optimization, Sample Processing
- Documenting technical results and assisting in presentation development
- Masking/Fixture Design via computer aided mechanical design 
- Defining equipment and process control requirements for obtaining best results 
- Researching methods for creating new ideas and implementing tighter control and repeatability of existing results
- Planning and executing engineering studies to confirm process capability and achieve high yields on metallic components
- When required, transitioning process from client to customer (on-site at customer location)
- Providing Sales Engineers with technical expertise and troubleshooting capability (on-site at customer location)
- Presenting analyses to key client stakeholders for making commercial, cosmetic and design commitments

Technical Skills for the Process Engineer: 

- Computer aided mechanical design (e.g. Solidworks 3D or similar)
- Experience with mechanical processes
- Knowledge of metallurgy and metrology methods 
- Understanding principles of cleaning, corrosion and chemical interactions of materials
- Experience developing quality plans, validating test methods and gauges, and driving corrective actions / failure analysis efforts
- Knowledge of quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations
- Project management experience and ability to manage complex priorities with multiple programs and suppliers
- Process development and optimization 
- Computer Skills
