For the Integrated Process Team (IPT) Vaccines in Haarlem we are looking for a Reliability Engineer (Associate Specialist Engineering)

From Haarlem we distribute 2,500 different packages of medicines and vaccines to more than 140 countries. Haarlem is known as the flexible packaging location in Europe.

Our production department consists of several Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) and Centers of Excellence. The IPT Vaccines is responsible for the packaging of filled vaccines, which is done by automated packaging lines.

The "technical" team of IPT Vaccines consists of several Technicians, Automation Engineer and Reliability Engineer who ensure that the 9 packaging lines in the department continue to run with the associated quality and safety requirements.

About the position

As Reliability Engineer you are responsible for the reliability of all installations and equipment that fall under the management of IPT Vaccines. You work on structurally solving problems and improving technical performance. You write business cases for improvement projects, draw up deliverables and supervise the development and implementation of the proposed improvements on the shop floor. You are also responsible for continuously initiating improvements in the maintenance plan.

Primary responsibilities

• You analyze the technical performance of the IPT Vaccines and ensure through technical projects that the packaging lines continue to perform better and meet current quality and safety requirements.
• You build convincing business cases to obtain the resources required to realize (improvement) projects and you do not avoid discussions.
• You are familiar with standards, procedures and guidelines as applicable within our organization and the pharmaceutical industry. You are co-responsible for qualifying and maintaining the qualified state of the entire machinery of the IPT Vaccines and ensure that the periodic reviews are drawn up for this.
• You are responsible for drafting and reviewing qualification documents for changes and projects.

Your profile

• MBO level 4 in the field of technology (WTB, Electro or Megatronics ) supplemented with at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
• HBO work and thinking level;
• Experience within a production environment and ideally with packaging processes within a GMP environment is a big plus, but not a requirement;
• Experience with project portfolio management, project management, change control and equipment qualification is an advantage;
• Convincing, stress-resistant and able to influence stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
• Strong project management skills, analytical insight and great perseverance.
