As an Engineering Process Manager, you will report to the Zone Solutions Operations Manager and lead the Midwest Zone Engineering Coordination Team. You will be responsible for all engineering coordination and collaboration between the Zone and the Operating Centers. Why is this so important? Our Engineering Process Manager is tasked at identifying skills and capabilities needed to perform engineering for the entire zone/region. In this role you are responsible for holding the project team accountable for the adoption of the Engineering Execution model and conflict resolution.

 

As an Engineering Process Manager, you will:

  • Provide expert guidance regarding technical topics including product selection, product application, installation methodology, interpretation of plan and specification requirements, and validity of value engineering compatibility with design intent
  • Hold responsibility for engineering coordination and collaboration with the Operations Centers
  • Ensure Engineering Coordinators minimize exceptions for work performed outside the Operations Centers
  • Assign responsibilities for Engineering and Project Team
  • Prioritize all deliverables.
  • Act as the central point of escalation for engineering in the Zone
  • Responsible for conflict resolution of engineering schedules
  • Be the single point of contact for quality of engineering in the Zone
  • Document decisions and guidance in the project record to develop employee's decision-making capabilities
  • Adapt quickly to new products and their implementation
  • Provide direct employee mentorship and employee development within the organization
  • Use strong listening, negotiation, organizational, oral, and written communication skills for multi-tasking effectively in the job
  • Individual will be located at any location in the zone: Minn, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Milwaukee, Chicago, St Louis, Bloomington, Detroit, Indianapolis

 

You will make an impact with these qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience providing technical guidance regarding product selection, application, installation methodology, interpretation of plan and specification requirements, and or validity of value engineering compatibility with design intent
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED 
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing technical teams

  • The pay range for this position is $82,320 - $176,280  and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
