We are looking for a Specialist Process Engineering to join our Performance Materials team in Wyandotte.

The Performance Materials division is at the forefront of the much-needed sustainability transformation in plastics. Our experts co-create products with customers to bring innovations to major industry sectors such as transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction.These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by pushing the boundaries in thermal resistance, robustness and lightweight applications.

 

We are seeking a professional like you to support the daily operations of our Engineering Plastics Compounding unit by ensuring quality products are manufactured safely, in an environmentally sound manner, efficiently, and on time. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Operations team to enhance processing conditions. You will also engage with Product Management and Research & Development to test new materials and processes. Additionally, you will partner with the Maintenance team to boost plant reliability, work alongside the Quality department to enhance process capability, and coordinate with Supply Chain to increase plant efficiency.

As a Specialist Process Engineering, you create chemistry by...

 

  • Leveraging your background in an Engineering discipline to optimize key processes in the plant, lead Responsible Care initiatives, and support daily operations.
  • Cooperating with a large organization to execute process improvement projects, identify opportunities to enhance process sustainability, and conduct safety hazard analysis.
  • Using your troubleshooting ability to resolve product-related issues, support product non-conformity investigations, and improve plant reliability.

If you...

• Hold a Bachelor's engineering degree, in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial discipline (preferred).

•  Have experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

•  Are able to work independently under broad goals and objectives.

• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Have experience with Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
