Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

We are looking for a Head of the Site Technology Team to lead a group of process engineers and APC engineers. The technology team supports operations with all questions regarding safe and efficient process management, as well as further development of processes, plant changes, and projects. You will lead troubleshooting activities from a technology perspective and advance new technologies, methods, and analyses as needed. Additionally, you will serve as the connecting link to external partners regarding Cracker and Hostalen technology.

 

  • Leading Technology team with direct reports
  • Support Site and department activities as part of leadership team within department
  • Define/organize and promote staff development and staff training
  • Operate the Technology group within the bounds of the budget costs
  • Align the work of the Technology group with Management expectations and according to the Site Strategy
  • Support Process Safety programs
  • Ensuring good process engineering solutions within the Management of Change process
  • Support major projects with process engineering input
  • Management reporting

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 5-8 years in (Petro-)chemical industry and/or related engineering company
  • Leadership Abilities
  • Proficiency in Process Engineering
  • Organizational Talent
  • Proficient in Proces Engineering - Needs to cascade skills to younger engineers
  • Highly adaptable to new Process Engineering Topics & Technologies
  • Structured approach to problem solving including trouble shooting
  • Ability to motivate people towards common goals and objectives
  • Strong leadership competencies and experience
  • Fluency German and English skills
