Supplier Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Aachen, Germany

Exciting tasks await you:

  • Project management within the framework of supplier management and technical qualification of new suppliers
  • Responsibility for projects in the “Quality at the Source” program: Establishment of risk management at suppliers (process FMEAs, etc.) and definition/implementation of risk minimization procedures
  • Assessment of process and measuring equipment capabilities at suppliers and within Abiomed and derivation of improvement measures
  • Technical assessment and rapid solution finding for faulty components in incoming goods inspection
  • Introduction and optimization of production processes and standardization
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation, especially with the engineering, quality and production departments

 

Qualifications

Your profile:

  • Completed technical studies, ideally mechanical engineering/manufacturing technology, plastics technology and ideally professional experience in a production environment
  • We are also happy to fill the position with qualified university graduates (m/f/d) with a background in production engineering, electrical engineering or plastics technology
  • Knowledge of process data acquisition (SPC) and process capability verification as well as in the areas of quality management, “Six Sigma” and “Lean Manufacturing” are advantageous
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
  • Willingness to travel on business as part of supplier visits (mainly Germany and Western Europe)
