Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain is looking to recruit a Principal Process Engineer, Small Molecules, as part of the Global Engineering & Technology (GET) organization. This global role is to be based at a major JSC manufacturing location (Geel, Belgium; Beerse, Belgium; Latina, Italy; Gurabo, Puerto Rico; Athens, Georgia (US), Schaffhausen, Switzerland) and is open to applicants who wish to work part-time (80% of a working week), or who are returning to the workplace after a career break.

Position Summary:

We need a strong leader who can deal with the complexity of a changing environment and business needs to drive engineering excellence across our Small Molecules manufacturing network. You will be an integral member of a global engineering group in a dynamic and inspiring work environment, with broad networking and collaborations across Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine-Supply Chain functions and sites offering possibilities for further personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities and the impact you will have:

  • Drive innovation, engineering excellence and issue resolution across our Small Molecules internal and external manufacturing network with focus in the Manufacturing process of Drug Products and Drug Substances-APIs;
  • Bring the process engineering point of view through technology, capacity and business risk analysis;
  • Support the design of key process safety improvements in our Manufacturing Drug Product and Dug Substance assets;
  • Implement key strategic projects and business processes to drive significant impact to our supply chain capabilities;
  • Support the site master plans in collaboration with the sites, finding the right trade-offs between network capital strategy and local investment needs;
  • Foster a team of highly engaged, sought after, business savvy process engineering talents, and encourage a two-ways capabilities' exchange with partners;
  • Actively interact with a variety of partners across Johnson & Johnson, external equipment vendors and engineering firms.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Master’s or equivalent University Degree required;

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain and capital execution experience in Pharmaceutical or other regulated industries;
  • Strong Small Molecules Drug Product and Drug Substance (API) process engineering expertise is preferred;
  • Ability to synthesize strategies, business needs, engineering elements, and technology inputs into data driven business solutions, including the implementation of the latest digital trends and AI tools;
  • Consistent record to develop and lead the execution of strategy and business transformation initiatives. Experience with Program, Project and Financial Management;
  • Able to balance multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and communicate and operate with poise and integrity in a sophisticated, high-profile, and evolving environment;
  • High intellectual curiosity to challenge the status quo, with an ability to influence without authority, and cultivate an inclusive & collaborative culture;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages would be a significant advantage;
  • This position may require up to 25% domestic and international travel.
