Job Description
Wood has an opportunity for an experienced Principal Process Engineer that has previous experience of working across Feasibility Studies and FEEDs, plus EPC and PMC projects. This is an opportunity for you to become a valuable, well-rounded of an experienced team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out process design work and related activities as assigned in project
Prepare the process deliverables as assigned in project
Supervise the work of subordinates as assigned in accordance with the Project organization
Assist other disciplines in accordance with Project requirements
Participate in design review meetings in accordance with Project requirements
Deliver process designs in FEED and EPC projects, identify issues and propose solutions
Undertake process design work and check work on the project as appropriate
Work closely with customers to understand their needs and produce designs and services to meet these needs
Complete technical design work to a high standard using Wood's and Customer design methods, standards and data
Execute process engineering activities achieving budget, schedule and maintaining technical integrity of the designs
Develop the basis of design, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for accuracy
Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements and / or those issued by Wood
Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions and P&IDs for review and approval
Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
Perform safety related calculations and provide input to Hazops, SIL and other safety reviews as directed
Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project 3D CAD model
Ensure that requirements of Licensor's Secrecy Agreements are known and complied within the work performed
Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers
Assist as required in the preparation of Operating Manuals
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
Min 14 years’ experience in FEED or EPC, Petrochemical, Refinery, Oil & Gas or Offshore sectors
Must be a Class I licensed Engineer Status (desirable)
Experience of working on FEED and EPC projects for energy transition and onshore oil & gas projects
Proven ability to coordinate process teams
Experience in developing H&MB, PFD's, P&ID's, MSD's and process equipment / instrument datasheets
Experience in Relief and Blowdown calculations
Strong experience in Process Simulation (HYSIS / ASPEN / PROII)
Process study experience would be beneficial
HAZop / SIL experience (chairman or attendee)
Process control capability beneficial e.g. Process Control Philosophy, Cause and Effects, etc.
Proven core Process Engineering skills, including up-to-date design experience
Skilled in resolution of technical process design issues
Readily adaptable with excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organisational awareness
Ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives
Display analytical and innovation skills to support management of new technology
