About you and this role

 

We are looking for a Senior Improvement Engineer.
The person leads the prioritization and implementation of all plant improvement opportunities and required implementation resources for a global process technology. Partners with the Plant and Operations leaders to solicit and collect ideas, describe opportunities, and implement projects. Meets global business goals through optimization of the process technology, implementation of improvement projects and implementation of most effective technology. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Leads plant improvement team to develop and implement plant specific technology plans in alignment with the global technology plan.  This role will include data collection, gap analysis, idea generation, prioritization, improvement project implementation, and review of results.
  • Coordinate and leverage site and global resources required for implementation of projects that support the technology plan.
  • Lead and support plant continuous improvement projects aligned to the process safety technology plans and manage the capital plan for the facility.
  • Support the facility root cause investigation process by serving as a team member or facilitator for incidents related to process technology.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities for the facility and serve in specific global project management related roles such as project manager or manufacturing representative.
  • Adhere strongly to the management of change and global project methodology process in their organization to ensure that reviews are completed thoroughly, risks are adequately assessed, and personnel are properly trained prior to implementing changes in the production facility.
  • Ensure validation of project performance objectives after implementation
  • Demonstrate your commitment to a safe work environment by working safely and complying with all environmental, health, and safety standards.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Masters degree in chemical or mechanical engineering;
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • The ideal candidate must have a willingness to adjust work schedule if needed to work with projects work that fit the needs of the production plant. 

 

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a chemical or manufacturing-facility.
  • Project Management and Engineering
  • Troubleshooting and Root Cause analysis and corrective action identification and implementation
  • Process Safety
