Staff Process Engineer

This position provides support to the Manufacturing and Packaging teams to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness and maintain product quality. This position will work closely with shop floor personnel, internal partners, and operations management to initiate and sustain process improvements

Key Responsibilities:

The Process Engineer performs a variety of engineering functions in support of continuous improvement and the introduction of new equipment. This includes supporting daily activities in production, data collection, representing operations on local and global teams, leading projects, and root cause analysis.

• Leads and participates in the identification, planning and execution of projects
• Implementation of rapid changeover techniques
• Optimization of system performance
• Reduction of process waste
• Minimization of equipment downtime
• Coaching and mentoring of operations personnel to build and maintain a positive environment of innovative improvement!
• Presenting business related issues to operations leadership
• Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

Requirements

• BS in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent technical degree.
• 6+ years’ experience supporting manufacturing or production operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools
• Ability to solve problems with strong analytical skills.

Preferred:

• An understanding of Process Excellence, Lean techniques, and statistical analysis is highly preferred
• Working knowledge of project management and validation requirements in a GMP environment

Other:

This position is located in Lancaster, PA and may require up to 10% travel.
