Job Description

  • Through data driven analytical troubleshooting practices, identify and implement improvements in the manufacturing process
  • Implement and provide training in analytical problem solving techniques
  • Develop tools to quantify process and product capabilities with project based plans to target and improve outcomes
  • Apply statistical relevance to areas of improvement and quantify potential and real benefits
  • Develop, maintain and utilise continuous improvement methodologies SPC and other initiatives as appropriate
  • Keep up to date with industrial technology and development
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers to improve knowledge, strive for improvements and apply best practice learning
  • Ensure robust practices are applied to improvement activities in order to maximise benefit
  • Utilise Lean methodologies and the Change Management structure
  • Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures
  • Design and develop processes to optimise productivity with a stable workflow
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer through trials, report writing and verbal training sessions
  • Assist teams carrying out implementation on changes proposed
  • Actively participate and support the on-going roll out and development of Lean manufacturing practices

The Successful Applicant


  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business
  • Degree educated in Process / Chemical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • High level of technical report writing skills
  • A dynamic approach to prioritising workload and handling multiple tasks simultaneously


  • Knowledge of using ERP systems
  • Experience of Microsoft packages, statistical analysis software such as Minitab and AutoCad
  • Ideally have Green Belt six sigma and/or Lean principles experience
  • Experience of working within a similar manufacturing environment
  • Able to make effective presentations to diverse groups
  • A methodical and analytical thinker with a 'hands-on' approach

  • Monday - Friday dayshift
  • 37.5 hours per week
