Quality Process Engineer
A methodical and driven Process Engineer is required to join the engineering department of a renowned manufacturer of precision forged and machined components for the Aerospace industry. Reporting to the Lead Conformance Engineer, the successful candidate will be tasked with supporting and improving current production and well as implementing NPI work and processes. This role requires a hands on approach, excellent problem solving skills and an understanding of lean techniques to support continuous quality improvements; furthermore a working knowledge of CAD/CAM is essential. Joining the team of a permanent basis, the successful candidate will work Monday – Thursday 07.30am – 16.30pm and Friday 07.30am – 12.30pm; receiving a salary of £35000 – £40,000.
Alongside developing efficient solutions for production problems, your duties and responsibilities as a Process Engineer will include:
·Developing machining methods and processes, with stage drawings to support
·Generating CAM programmes and Inspection techniques
·First Article and New Product Introduction evaluations
·Supporting robust processes through the design of jigs and fixtures
·Feedback of production data with the operations team to foster continuous improvement
·Creation of PPAP portfolios for processes surrounding new parts alongside the participation in Research and Development projects
·Planning and prioritising of own workload
To be successful as a Process Engineer, you will need to demonstrate:
·HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
·CAD/CAM engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
·Machining experience, working with various metals alongside machine configurations and multi axis work
·Understanding of PPAP, FAIRS, NPI and SOP
·Proven track record within a process or project role with a results based portfolio
This positon is based in Redditch, as is easily accessible from Birmingham, Studley, Bromsgrove, Stratford-upon-Avon and Solihull.
