Position: Graduate Process Engineer

Location: Staffordshire

Salary Guide: £22-28k (neg) dependent upon experience

Our Client: Is an independent company which delivers effective fully engineered odour and air pollution control solutions for clients operating in the water, waste and recycling sectors as well as food and beverage and process industries.

Their focus is on creating long-term client relationships based on partnership, innovation, collaboration and trust.

The Role: A recent graduate in chemical engineering or chemistry who is looking to join a company which will allow them to develop their career.

You will work closely with the Proposals Manager to learn how to prepare tenders and proposals in response to enquiries from Customers.

In addition, you will develop an understanding of the process elements of odour and air pollution control which will allow you to contribute to the initial design of solutions.

Duties: Preparing and writing technical and commercial proposals in response to tenders and enquiries from customers and ensuring they are managed and delivered on time.

Liaising with both the sales and technical teams to bring together the relevant information.

Perform a detailed review of enquiry documents to enable full understanding of requirements.

Develop the technical, commercial and financial solution as the bid progresses.

Carry out site surveys when required.

Technology includes chemical scrubbing, biological and carbon filtration and chemical dosing.

Equipment includes vessels, tanks, ductwork, fans, pumps and pipework.

Full training will be provided

Qualifications/Skills/Experience required:

Degree level or equivalent in chemical engineering or chemistry

Ability to learn how to prepare tenders, proposals and process designs.

Prior experience of odour control and air pollution is not required as full training will be provided

You will need to be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn, and genuine enthusiasm and motivation.

Flexibility to travel to customer meetings and sites as required.
