A Chemical manufacturing organisation is looking for a Process Engineer to join their plant in the North London area on permanent basis.
Reporting to Head of Process Engineering the core function of the role will involve monitoring and analysis of processes and data in conjunction with laboratory, pilot and plant scale development and commissioning trials for their manufacturing sites.
You will carry out appropriate risk assessments (Risk, COSHH, Manual Handling, etc) for the development work and ssist the Capital Projects team by providing technical expertise including developing process flow diagrams, conducting trials on new equipment and collecting data for design
In order to be considered for this position candidates will need to hold a Degree or equivalent in Process / Chemical Engineering. Candidates will also need to have proven experience working within a Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Aseptic / Sterile manufacturing environment within a leadership / managerial role.
In addition to this candidates must be technically minded and have a wide range of experience on projects across all different areas within the business liaising with Production Engineering, Validation, R&D, Capital Projects and Manufacturing.
You will ideally be:
Degree in Chemical Engineering based subject or equivalent
Strong experience as Chemical/Process Engineer with sound technical background
High level of numeracy, working with systems and data
Full understanding of heat and mass balances, P&IDs and PFDs and other process docs
