Our Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC) is one of 30 production facilities in 18 countries that creates life-changing medicines for people around the world. This biologic manufacturing facility makes a direct contribution to treating people with cancer, respiratory and autoimmune conditions across the globe. Join us as an Automation Engineer at the Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC), where you'll provide technical support to the manufacturing and logistics buildings. Your role will involve troubleshooting, modifications, and improvements to automation, data management/storage systems, and networks related to process, utility, and support equipment and systems. Your responsibility will ensure our pipeline becomes a reality, taking the lead in ensuring the hard work from the rest of the business is realized. We never give up in diligently ensuring our patients receive quality and safe medicines, responding to a large variety of, often complex, demands.
Accountabilities:
As an Automation Engineer, you'll apply your working knowledge of electronic theory and its application. You'll demonstrate a basic understanding of instrumentation and control loops. You'll be expected to troubleshoot PLC systems, particularly Rockwell Automation, Distributed control systems, particularly Emerson DeltaV Control network, Building management systems, particularly Siemens, VFD and motor control systems, IT infrastructure. You'll also need a basic understanding of programming concepts and risk assessment and mitigation.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/Life sciences
- 1+ years of relevant experience
