Automation engineer Clinical Supplies

 

The position of Automation Engineer is located within the Clinical Supply organization, more specifically within the department that produces the clinical batches.

In order to be able to respond even more flexibly and quickly to questions for producing clinical batches, we will be developing our own technical team.

This team will continue to collaborate with the other maintenance teams and their technological specialists so that we can provide optimal support to production and continue to guarantee maximum availability of our installations and machine park.

This team will integrate the technical installations of the new pilot plant, which will be equipped with the latest aseptic technologies, into the maintenance systems.

In addition, as a department that specializes in the supply of clinical batches, there is also a regular need for technical support to formulate and fill the latest products, where this technical expertise comes in handy.

We strongly believe in team work! That is why the tasks listed below are typical for the Automation Engineer, but the final result of the team is above all.

I

  • Collaborate with the various engineering teams in testing and integrating the newly delivered devices into the new production facility

  • Monitoring the management of the software and automation hardware

  • Implementing minor and major changes mainly in Siemens PLC's of existing equipment within the deadline

  • Troubleshooting in the PLC in case of technical breakdowns, both on stand alone equipment with supplier software and on fully integrated equipment, first line troubleshooting

  • Thinking along and assisting with automation questions from other team members

  • Perform and document root cause investigations in the event of quality deviations

  • Assist in analyzing and implementing efficiency-enhancing projects

  • Designing and developing process improvement projects as a team.

  • Guiding external companies that come to visit/service for everything related to automation.

  • Participate proactively in the development of the new department. For example, you will help shape the digital roadmap for our department, both for our current pilot plant and for the pilot plant for the future.

  • Review and optimization of processes, flowcharts, alarm lists, program code, etc. in collaboration with the suppliers of our equipment.

 

 

Job profile:

 

  • Master's degree: industrial automation engineer or equivalent through experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of Siemens S7 and TIA portal with an emphasis on STL code language.

  • Interpreting electrical diagrams and P&IDs

  • 5 years of experience in a similar position

  • Perfect command of Dutch and English

  • Organized, accurate and able to work independently

 

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience in a GMP environment

  • Experience with SCADA (WinCC)

  • A broad interest in various domains related to automation (ranging from systems for planning, batch records, PAT applications, ...), equipment tracking devices, etc.

  • Knowledge of standards: EN 60204, Machine directive 2006/42/EC, Low voltage directive, IEC 61512-1, …
