Pfizer Puurs produces and packages more than 1 million injectable vaccines and medicines every day and more than 370 million annually. The high-tech site in Puurs is therefore the largest Pfizer production site in Europe and the 2nd largest Pfizer production site worldwide. The company is among the world's best in aseptic production and packaging, and wants to continue to make a difference in the lives of patients worldwide. In addition, Pfizer Puurs is a leading manufacturer of injectable vaccines and contraceptives, including a vaccine to prevent pneumococcal infections in children and an injectable contraceptive for women in developing countries. Our department
In our production departments, raw materials are transformed into filled medicines. The product goes through various production steps (weighing, formulation , preparation, freeze-drying, filling, capping , inspection, storage and transport). At all steps, production strives for the highest degree of operational excellence. Further on in the production process, the medicine will be labeled and packaged and then reach our patient via the distribution chain.
The position of Process Engineer Support is located within the production department FCC ( Flexible Cartridge Center). FCC is a production department for aseptic filling and dual-chamber cartridges. FCC is known within Pfizer Puurs as a high-tech department. FCC Support is responsible for maintenance, minimizing the number of technical failures, implementing continuous improvements and carrying out optimization projects.

Task package
Propose, plan and follow up improvements to the equipment (internally and with external suppliers)
Building a knowledge system: you ensure that knowledge regarding the equipment is documented
Daily follow-up of equipment in the various production steps
Participate in team projects and team development .
Carrying out process investigations according to the DMAIC methodology .
Act as a production representative during negotiations within interdepartmental projects.

The Pfizer site in Puurs is one of Pfizer's largest production and packaging sites worldwide, specialized in aseptic production and packaging. More than 400 million doses of injectable vaccines and medicines are produced in Puurs every year. These are packaged on site in ampoules, vials, plastic bottles, syringes and pen cartridges.
The medicines made in Puurs are intended for patients in more than 170 countries worldwide. 30% of the production from Puurs is intended for developing countries, in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, GAVI and NGOs.
