Our Unit Process Design & Optimization is part of the Engineering & Technology corporate function of Bayer. We work group-wide and globally on process development and optimization of our production processes and lead innovative projects. With us, you contribute to digitalization, sustainability, and resource efficiency: Bayer has set itself the goal of being climate-neutral by 2030 and strongly promoting digitalization in production. To achieve this, we need bright minds like you.
 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You work in the planning, implementation, and management of projects in the areas of process design, process transfers, process optimization and sustainability
• You analyse the optimization potential of production facilities in coordination with our partners in the Bayer divisions
• You create process models of batch and continuous processes as required
• You carry out this work independently and draw on the expertise of experienced colleagues from your own area and from internal partners
• You work on innovation topics and evaluate new technology platforms in the areas of overall process modelling, digitalization and sustainability
   

WHO YOU ARE

• You have completed a university degree (Master) in the fields of process systems engineering, chemical engineering, or (bio)process engineering preferably with work experience or a comparable scientific education with several years of work experience
• You have extensive experience and expertise in the areas of (mechanistic) process simulation, process design and process optimisation. Your knowledge is based on years of practical work and successful projects in these specialist areas
• You are seeking for opportunities to increase the sustainability of production processes and promote the business narrative to advance the digital transformation
• You can easily engage and convince people and bring in your creativity, commitment and initiative
• You believe that learning from failure is part of the journey to success
• You are a skilled communicator
• You speak and write English fluently, and good German skills (or the willingness to learn) is preferred

We use the possibilities of hybrid working flexibly. In order to experience community and collaboration, we are on site at least 2-3 days per week.
