Sustainable hydrogen is fast becoming central to the UK’s energy transformation programme to deliver and meet its energy security strategy. Your role while working in our client’s multi-function engineering team will be to provide specialist process engineering support for design and specifications to their innovative gasification product range which generates hydrogen from biogenic fuels in addition to their existing portfolio of heat transfer equipment.
You will be expected to form a key part of the project team undertaking feasibility studies and developing designs from first principles and in-house design software to enable the tender process and to help develop and deliver complex projects from design to operation requiring a broad ranging design skill set.
This role requires a can-do positive attitude with the freedom to think outside the box as part of a small agile team requiring flexibility in its to support to projects and the company.
Key Duties:
Your primary responsibility will be to produce technically correct ,practical and cost effective designs, specifications and instructions that meet contractual requirements.
The designs need to meet environmental and safety requirements while permitting production, testing and maintenance and be economically feasible.

Significant experience of proposing, planning & designing multi-disciplinary projects and equipment in the Energy and Power / Oil & Gas industries. |

Proven engineering aptitude with practical field experience in process, controls & mechanical design principles |

Proven background in a design engineering capacity |

Excellent technical writing & communications skills |

Technical Sales & Proposals experience |

Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced team environment |

IT skills including MS, heat transfer / flow design software |

Ability to travel and work in a variety of locations |

Ability to work independently and remotely |
