Syngenta is looking for a quality-oriented and innovative Plant Manager. As a Plant Manager you are in charge of our vegetable and flower seed processing factory in Enkhuizen. You are responsible for the specific operational functions in the factory. The departments consist of seed cleaning, seed treatment, warehousing, packaging and shipping. Are you the person we are looking for to deliver strong change management and leadership? And do you have what it takes to position the factory in Enkhuizen as the most leading within the global Seeds Processing network? Grab this unique opportunity!

The challenge

• As a Plant Manager you monitor the quality and efficiency of factory activities and align them with the long- and short-term objectives of the supply chain, based on 'lean' working methods.
• As a people manager you manage 5 direct reports. The factory has a total of approximately 105 employees.
• You will be responsible for developing and improving an excellent quality culture and knowledge, where the quality of the product always comes first.
• You will manage and coordinate the factory's automation and technology program.
• Process innovation is one of your most important priorities, transforming processes into smart factory concepts.
• You are part of a global plant team and thus contribute to the further growth and development of the global plant network.

Your profile

To be successful in this position you must have excellent leadership qualities. As a people manager you can coach, connect and encourage ownership. You have strong communication skills and know how to get people moving, both your team and (internal) stakeholders. You are experienced in managing a complex production and storage environment. You also have an affinity with agribusiness and you find sustainability important. You are innovative and experienced with quality assurance, quality management and change management. Finally, it is important that you have a good knowledge of the Dutch and English language.
