How will you make an impact?
Establishes, coordinates, and implements key technical support activities to Operations departments (Processing, Packaging, and Maintenance). Supports the Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) Process Development departments with new products that will be produced commercially at Toronto Region Operations (TRO).
What will you do?
Prepare procedures, protocols, documents, and reports of the new product batches. Supports the shop floor in the scale up, registration, validation, and first commercial batches (15%) Reviews batch documents from PDS and recommend improvements for safe handling. Identifies, proposes, and implements processes or equipment changes to solve quality problems, efficiency, or regulatory compliance. Coordinates technology transfer/new products development with PDS, external customers and other manufacturing sites. Assists production staff with the processing difficulties. Takes part in continuous improvement teams. Keeps updated with modern technological improvements in the processes and assists in the acquisition of new equipment. Participates as team member on cross-functional teams, providing a technical vision. Other duties as assigned.
How will you get here?
Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
10 years of combined pharmaceutical experience
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Thorough knowledge of processing/packaging equipment. Thorough knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures. Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. Possess a highly developed quality, regulatory and production mindset with an appreciation for client service and the contract manufacturing industry. Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities and teamwork promotion within the workplace. Must be organized and detail oriented. Proficient with the English language and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to our fundamental principles of Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
