Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they have prior Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design experience to successfully support the production of process engineering calculations, models and deliverables for a major petrochemical project based in New Zealand with a significant carbon capture scope.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Reporting into the Process Engineering Lead for a major petrochemical project based in New Zealand to provide process engineering inputs to technical deliverables, including drawings, models, calculations, standards, philosophies, procedures and specifications
  • Required to interface with other engineering disciplines and project functions

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Should have over 8 years of post-graduate experience.
  • Prior experience with carbon capture projects would be highly regarded.
  • Prior experience with UniSim modelling would be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Liaison with the other disciplines, clients’ engineering and production personnel to ensure consistent basis for all input parameters
  • Familiar with relevant codes and procedures and have a thorough working knowledge of the latest design and analytical techniques.
  • Enthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learn
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude
  • Prior experience in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, MAE workshops is essential
