The main purpose of this role is to support this new curriculum and, in particular, to teach and assist in the coordination of the compulsory 3rd year undergraduate process design project, the capstone project of the BEng and MEng degrees. The role holder will also contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum and will assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
The key skills required for the post is a first degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and/or experience, process design-related knowledge in the broad field of chemical engineering, but in particular related to process design, equipment and/or mechanical design, knowledge of sustainability and process safety in a chemical engineering context, combined with excellent people skills and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues and external partners.
