Our client is an expert services and software company supporting the oil and gas industries. A pioneer in the development and use of simulation models and cloud technologies and an expert in operational and production enhancement for low or no CAPEX, our client develops solutions that positively impact the profitability, safety and environmental performance of their international energy company customers through technological changes and operational efficiencies. In addition to bespoke technical advisory services, our client also owns and develops a market leading suite of proprietary software packages that cover hydrocarbon plant optimisation and real-time production management, on and offshore flow assurance including PVT characterisation and property and deposition analysis, and a steady state pipeline simulator for hydraulic and thermal network modelling over LOF.

 As a Senior Engineer within Software Support, Training and Implementation, you will combine your engineering knowledge and troubleshooting skills to provide technical expertise in business development activities with potential customers and assist clients and internal users in the use of our client’s simulation software suite of products. Duties will include hotline/desk support to clients to resolve user/operating issues, setting up and overseeing model installations and configuration , planning and delivering training programmes ,supporting sales and marketing with demonstrations ,organising and monitoring software trials ,undertaking process calculations, testing and calibrating models, acting as a simulator/ modelling authority on internal consulting projects ,liaison with product managers  and developers on P&ID’s and simulator accuracy and  liaison with R+D over complex technical issues. Some EMEA travel will be required.

 Candidates should offer significant experience of standard dynamic and static simulation software packages used in upstream design, production and optimisation such as HYSIS, PIPESIM, OLGA, Maximus etc.
