Our client is a highly prestigious advisory and intellectual property practice with offices in several key international locations including New York, Singapore, Perth and Houston. The organisation supports banks, investors, governmental agencies, regulators, operating companies and technology providers with advice on investment, asset and product management with a view to better business outcomes. Services include  due diligence on engineering , investment and  technology  , M+ A assistance , monetisation strategies , patent and monopolies  infringement , product supply , demand and price forecasting , feasibility and investment screening studies , expert witness and legal support .

The organisation’s London hub is now looking to identify an experienced consultant with exposure to the power sector to contribute to or lead the kind of studies and exercises enumerated above. Candidates should have a background founded on power generation operations and business management within fossil fuelled or renewables based generation possibly. A good practical and theoretical understanding of the operational /economic issues associated with major power assets such as, turbines, CCGT plant,  wind farms, solar arrays and so on is essential and should be complemented by familiarity with other power related business and commercial  insights and competences such  technology options, investment planning and model development, feasibility studies , M+A  assistance , asset valuation , technical and commercial due diligence, carbon capture credits, supply contract issues, energy consumption and efficiency analysis, energy consumption and source planning and so on. Candidates will ideally offer a combination of power consulting experience and experience acquired with a  provider/generator  in power business management.
