A Chemical Engineer job in St. Paul, MN is available courtesy of Adecco Medical & Science. You will be responsible for helping the procurement organization understand the stoichiometry/costs behind key purchased raw materials (chemistries). This individual will also help to collect pertinent technical information for chemical classification (specifications) to categorize spend effectively. Chemical Engineer job responsibilities include:
Determine stoichiometry/synthesis of purchased raw materials (chemistries), and assign appropriate feedstocks/derivatives for cost calculation(s), i.e. process economics.
Determine the appropriate process related to the spend (by chemistry/region).
Determine costing as appropriate: Raw materials, By-products, Utilities, Variable Cost/Conversion, Maintenance Materials, Operating Supplies, Operating Labor, Control Laboratory, Maintenance Labor, Total Direct Cost, Plant Overhead, Taxes and Insurance, Depreciation, Plant Gate Cost, G&A, Sales, Research, Production Costs, Product Value, etc.
Study/Present the feedstock touch, application, and supply base of purchased raw materials (chemistries) to help assign classification/categorization
Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Minimum of two – four years’ experience required
Chemical Synthesis Knowledge (Theoretical or Practical).
Basic Cost Accounting Knowledge (Standard Cost Accounting, Activity Based Costing, Lean Accounting, Marginal Costing).
