Senior Insurance Risk Engineer – Energy and Chemicals
Our client is a major player in the International Insurance sector with representation in over 40 countries .It enjoys a central place globally supporting the high hazard sectors including marine, mass- transport, energy, power and chemicals and maintains a very substantial presence within the City.
The business is well placed and growing, with further expansion in EMEA planned for 2018 and beyond.
Our client is currently looking to identify an experienced lead engineer offering significant relevant industrial experience and a successful track record within Insurance risk, ideally, at a senior altitude. The appointee will undertake the normal activities associated with insurance risk engineering, including site surveys and condition assessments, reviews of operating and maintenance practice, desk top risk assessments, the analysis and investigation of BI and consequential loss issues and potential and so on. However, as a lead engineer, the successful candidate will focus on major client accounts and assignments, allocating work to and scheduling the diaries of other team members as required. The engineer may act as a technical authority or specialist in some subject areas where appropriate to background.
Candidates will offer substantial experience of major refinery, petrochemical or hydrocarbons plant operations (acquired within production, technical support or maintenance), in addition to recent exposure to Insurance risk engineering acquired with a carrier or broker. Experience of working as an Insurance risk engineer within the downstream hydrocarbons sector is mandatory for this role. About 80 days annual travel within EMEA can be expected.
