This is a high profile engineering job working for a sector market leader who boast over 30 years' industry experience combining positive energy, attitude and a clear opportunity to progress to the position of Market Sector Manager within just a few years. This is a full time and permanent job working in either Greater Manchester or West Sussex. You will be responsible for achieving growth in a profitable way within the Chemical Process Industries, Plastics, Food Processing through marketing of the existing product portfolio and be responsible for achieving the identification of new products and configurable or tailored solutions.

The Role

You will work closely with each customer centre within the market as well as competitors, customers and technologies in order to establish and agree the local growth plan as part of the global strategy for the CPI market.

You will work hand in hand with the customer centres sales organisation supporting them to achieve their growth plan whist working closely with the Global Market Sector Manager and relevant Product Managers providing input to requirements for NPI, configurable and tailored solutions, cost reduction, product availability and product pricing ensuring that these elements are included in the market sector plan and are synchronised with the product managers' product plans 

The Person

You, being the ideal Chemical Applications Engineer will have considerable knowledge of various forms of chemical process applications and have the ability to propose the best possible application, advising clients/customers why they should use that particular application. 

You will have an adaptable and approachable attitude towards work with the ability to build and develop relationships at all levels. You will also be open to travelling with work and be happy to spend up to 60% of your time outside of the UK visiting clients/customers, advising on chemical applications. 

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a minimum of 3 years Chemical Engineering experience following the completion of a university degree. 
You will have experience working within a Chemical Engineering environment ideally within the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Petrochemical, Medical or Plastics Manufacturing Industries.
