Role responsibility

 

The Trecate Refinery is an important industrial site of the ExxonMobil group, a company among the world leaders in the oil sector.

For an important industrial company in the Oil & Gas sector located between Milan and Novara we are looking for a Process Safety Engineer.
The candidate, placed within the Process Safety group, will be responsible for analyzing the SHE aspects related to the processes, identifying and assessing the associated risks and recommending the appropriate mitigations.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO

 

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards, Best Available Techniques (BAT) and help disseminate them throughout the organisation.
  • Conduct Hazop and safety reviews of projects in development and lead Pre Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Participate in unit Hazop reviews, risk assessment of scenarios, analysis of event trees and evaluate levels of protection and mitigations.
  • Lead the development of the SHE aspects of the Management Of Change process.
  • Support safety reviews of site operating procedures.
  • Support the development and review of site Process Safety standards.
  • Support the evaluation and review of Process Safety KPIs.


 

What features are we looking for?

 

  • Degree preferably in Chemical/Mechanical/Energy Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Fluency in English
  • Previous experience with a structured work environment, Hazop studies, Event Tree analysis and with the concepts of LOPA and ALARP
  • Previous experience in the field of Process Safety of Oil & Gas or Chemical plants of at least 3 years
  • Familiarity with Process Design and knowledge of the relevant regulations/standards (Seveso, PED, DL81/2008, ISO, API, NFPA, etc.) are a plus.
