Role Profile

As a Manufacturing Manager, you will work with Leadership to develop, communicate, and implement business plans to meet short and long-term business needs. You will also provide leadership to set standards and expectations for the assigned units that promote teamwork, trust, ownership, excellence, creativity, innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that employees understand and comply with all HSES regulations, in addition to unit and plant procedures, Basic Safety Expectations and Essential Operational Disciplines
• Work with Leadership to develop, communicate, and implement business plans to meet short and long-term business needs
• Champion and implement change projects and processes that support continuous improvement
• Maintain aggressive cost reduction and technical productivity programs to maintain and improve the competitive position and profitability of the businesses
• Provide leadership to set standards and expectations for the assigned units that promote teamwork, trust, ownership, excellence, creativity, innovation and growth
• Plan and implement systems/programs to preserve capital assets 
• Establishes and implements priorities, budgets, and short/long term production plans with functional partners to ensure customer service requirements are satisfied
• Act as a change-agent and champion site initiatives that support the long-term viability of the site and its respective businesses
• Develops and leads employee team through positive employee/labor relations, staff training and development, grievance mediation and contract negotiations, etc.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or similar technical degree
• A minimum of 5 years related manufacturing experience; willingness to work in a Union environment
• Candidate must possess demonstrated competencies in the areas of technical/process skills, leadership and management abilities, and written/oral/interpersonal communications.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment through all levels of the 
• Ability to contribute effectively as an individual and within a team
• High degree of bias for action and ability to plan, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision
• Excellent commitment to task
• Candidate should have working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP
• Demonstrated knowledge of environmental safety and health policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations including Process Safety Management
• Excellent coaching and facilitation skills
