Engineer in Piping Engineering (m/f/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Piping Engineering unit supports BASF project teams in the development of conceptual and execution-ready solutions in basic and detailed engineering for the construction of chemical production plants within the scope of investment projects.

• In your new role, you will be responsible for Piping Engineering for the functional, on-time and on-budget planning and execution of major projects.
• You will use your experience to coordinate the planning steps with the involvement of various specialist disciplines.
• Also, you will determine resource requirements and derive schedule requirements and cost structures from this.
• You will use your knowledge to control and monitor the contractual execution and quality of external planning services as well as to communicate and intervene at an early stage when deviations occur.
• Last but not least, you will develop processes, tools as well as technologies to drive Data-Driven Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

• completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or mechanical engineering
• professional experience in piping engineering of plant construction projects preferably in the chemical industry in the fields of piping design, stress calculation and material specification
• affinity for data-driven engineering
• preferably knowledge in the use of relevant planning tools
• communication and negotiation skills in German as well as in English language
