Job Description

As a chemicals supplier to almost all industries, BASF will establish a standalone subsidiary dedicated to its Mobile Emissions Catalysts, Precious Metals Trading, Recycling, and related Products and Services business. The new group is referred to as BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions and is wholly owned by BASF. BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions will operate globally in over 15 countries and comprise of approximately 20 production sites and over 4,000 employees.


RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Chemical Regulations Manager you will create chemistry by:

  • Monitoring chemical regulations globally and advocating as necessary to support the businesses success.
  • Assessing impact of chemical regulations to business and communicating.
  • Developing processes to ensure compliance with chemical regulations that are relevant to the ECMS business.
  • Coordinating and supporting in master data standardization and process harmonization among all regions and production sites.
  • Performing global notifications and registrations to assure compliance and commercial success in relevant countries.
  • Coordinating and performing chemical regulations reporting, as necessary, globally.
  • Supporting EHS master data quality improvement, including support for reference substances.
  • Development of appropriate training for business functions to understand global chemical regulations and requirements.

 


QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • master's degree or higher in natural sciences, preferably in chemistry
  • at least 6-10 years of professional experience in chemical or product regulations
  • expertise in global regulations as well as implementation of compliance processes in ERP systems
  • ability to lead the global chemical regulations team and managing relevant external resources
  • competence to collaborate for achievement, communicate effectively and embrace diversity
