Tyvek® is a flash-spun nonwoven fabric with leading global market positions in construction, protective apparel, medical packaging and others. The proprietary Tyvek® technology involves a wide variety of engineering disciplines, such as chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering, polymer chemistry & processing, polymer solutions, electrostatics, aerodynamics, material science and more.
DuPont Luxembourg - Tyvek® is looking to recruit a Process Engineer into its growing organization to further strengthen the unique technology position of Tyvek®.
As a Tyvek® Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team and some of the most innovative and curious people in Water & Protection to help grow the Tyvek® business. This position requires interaction with multiple levels of personnel in the Operations, Maintenance, Technical and Technical Marketing teams.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing technical expertise for the processes at the plant and giving assistance to operations and maintenance teams
Being the first technical response for incident investigations and operation troubleshooting
Taking ownership of the manufacturing processes for process safety, reliability and product quality by executing the change management processes
Working with the engineering department
Monitoring equipment performance and troubleshooting equipment utilizing root cause failure analysis
Your Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering – Mechanical, Electrical & Process Engineering preferred
Fluent German & English; any other aditional lanuage is an asset: French
Broad and general interest in technology
Creativity and global approach for problem solving through strong conceptual and analytical thinking
Demonstrated capability to resolve issues using fact-based problem solving
Demonstrated success working in a team environment and effective communicating across all levels of personnel
High level of self-motivation, work ethic, initiative and flexibility
Demonstrated ability to understand manufacturing processes and best practices required to support operations
Good interpersonal skills
Demonstrated use of Six Sigma methodology.
