Your Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our Biomanufacturing team. Working between Glasgow and Midlothian, you will be responsible for executing the development of new processes and technology to support manufacture of client products, such as cell and virus banks, in a GMP compliant production facility. With a good background in GMP and mammalian cell culture techniques, you will work closely with the BioManufacturing team and clients to support process from development through to implementation and play a key part in ensuring the success of customer projects. Day to day duties include working in lab areas and following Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with appropriate scientific and GMP regulatory standards; performing aseptic manipulations of client product, as well as training Manufacturing personnel in developed processes. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is key to success in this role.

Who you are:
Educated to a minimum BSC level in a Biological Science discipline with 5 or more years relevant experience or MSC level with 2 years relevant experience.
Will have prior knowledge and experience working in a GMP regulated laboratory; previous experience of working in cleanroom setting would be advantageous.
Will have experience in aseptic processing techniques and mammalian cell culture practices, coupled with practical process development skills. Experience in virus culture processes would be a strong advantage.
Must be self motivated with strong initiative, facing challenges with energy, drive and the need to deliver to deadlines.
Will proactively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve department processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
A strong focus on quality and safety to ensure procedures are being followed.
Able to demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
Demonstrate great communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a good standard of written and spoken English and are computer literate
Prior knowledge of working with LIMS would be advantageous.
Ability to travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh for work as required
