As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will provide a service function to the production and maintenance functions, purposed to employ sound reliability engineering principles and methods, to reduce the risk of poor performance and reliability to production plans and budgets caused by equipment reliability issues.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Implementation, tracking, and monitoring of the asset management framework and leading the development of maintenance tactics in line with Operating Model 
• Continuously reviews equipment task lists in the ERP SAP system in light of maintenance improvements, equipment developments, and modifications.
• Supports full implementation of Work Management, based on the Operating Model principles, and liaise with planners to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediation in accordance win the established priorities.
• Research and investigate the latest technology trends and propose implementation programs to incorporate these into the business.
• Responsible for improvement specific training, coaching, and development of engineering personnel in the maintenance of equipment consistent with the operating objectives
• Drive defect elimination initiatives for the site including reliability incident reporting, RCAs and ensure implementation of improvement actions.
• Lead the implementation and review asset tactics for the site.
• To be involved in shutdown management and drive shutdown optimization.

This role is in the Engineering Department and is at a Band 6 level reporting to the Senior Asset Manager.

• NQF level 8 qualification – BSc or BEng Engineering Degree (Mech, Elec, Industrial, Process, Chemical)
• GCC or MSc Degree (Engineering or Process) would be advantageous.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5years’ experience in the maintenance of mining and/or plant equipment
• Conversant with MHSA and the OHSA acts.
• Extensive experience in Reliability Engineering roles
• Experience in ERP SAP, MS Projects, MS Excel

• South African Valid Drivers License.
