Our client is passionate about finding and delivering heat transfer solutions to meet customer’s energy efficiency needs and the drive to a net zero economy. The company not only specialises in the design, but also in the high-quality manufacture of pressure equipment. Its bespoke, high integrity systems are used in industries such as Pharmaceutical, Speciality Chemicals, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Food. The organisation is almost fifty years old and exports across the world.

Purpose:

As part of its strategic growth, our client is seeking a Senior Thermal /Process Design Engineer. The individual sought is skilled, motivated, career-focused, ambitious, with a can-do attitude. The role will be customer facing requiring a professional, friendly personality. The individual would be required to perform a wide variety of interesting and challenging heat transfer engineering, design, analysis, or other technical tasks aiming to use the best available knowledge and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing incoming enquires including the checking of specifications and data sheets.
• Working with and visiting clients to determine the best solution for their specific needs.
• Performing process design calculations using software such as HTRI / Aspentech EDR etc.
• Preliminary entropy and mechanical calculations and costing.
• Technical and commercial bid compilation.
• Contract negotiations.
• Coordinate project requirements with other disciplines and clients.
• Building relationships with clients.
• Lead and mentor others.
