In this role, you will provide formulation engineering technical support in both existing and novel manufacturing technologies to maximize quality, capacity, and efficiency outcomes during scale-up, and after the launch, of newly formulated products to commercial manufacture. You will also support the formulation engineers to evaluate new equipment and develop new formulation processing options

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Independently carry out development trials in the pilot plant, including preparation of raw materials, and configuration, operation, and cleaning of processing equipment
  • Strict adherence to HSE protocols and all corporate policies and processes.
  • Contributes to process risk assessments
  • Complies with all quality standards during development and trial manufacturing activities
  • Records data from experiments and scale-up / manufacturing trials
  • Carries out first-line maintenance of pilot plant equipment and informs the Pilot Plant Team Leader of equipment defects or failures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or experience in a chemical manufacturing or development environment
  • Understanding of all HSE measures and requirements in the lab and pilot plant
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requests from different stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the end-to-end processes for product development, complex formulation processing scale-up, and lifecycle management
  • Organizational Skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to become forklift certified
  • Ability to learn first-line maintenance procedures for pilot and lab equipment
  • Ability to learn cleaning procedures to achieve product quality targets
  • Ability to learn and apply technical knowledge to progress activities
  • Authorized to work in the United States
