MAIN PURPOSE
- Ensure the operability and reliability of all assigned area process control systems;
- Provide day-to-day technical troubleshooting support of all instrumentation, process control and low voltage electrical systems;
- Lead the PCS engineering aspect of all assigned capital projects up to $1M;
- Configure and maintain the Distributed Control Systems (i.e. DeltaV, PLC’s);
- Provide continual process control systems operational support;
- Serve as Project Manager on multidiscipline team projects for medium and smaller capital and expense type PCS focused projects up to $1 million;
- Support the overall area PCS effort, including all aspects of specifying equipment, programming implementation, performance testing and maintaining documentation.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Site Senior Process Control Systems (PCS) Engineer are to:
- Ensure the operability and reliability of all assigned area process control systems and instrumentation including operating systems, safety instrumented systems (SIS, PCT-I, etc.), interlocks and low voltage electrical equipment;
- Provide day-to-day technical troubleshooting support of all instrumentation, process control and low voltage electrical systems within assigned areas to support Technicians, Operations Specialists, Process Engineers and Operators;
- Lead the PCS engineering aspect of all assigned capital projects up to $1M;
- Coordinate PCS engineering and PCS designer support
- Provide engineering design, implementation, commissioning, startup and operational technical support;
- Develop scopes, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, bid and construction packages as well as coordinate Electrical contractor installations;
- Serve as Project Manager on multidiscipline team projects for medium and smaller capital and expense type PCS focused projects up to $1 million;
- Configure and maintain the Distributed Control Systems (Delta V Programmable Controller Systems), Various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and safety systems (SIS, PCT-I);
- Provide continual process control systems operational support;
- Provide technical resource for area Engineers, Operation Specialists, Operators and PCS Technicians to implement process improvements, improve efficiency and reduce costs;
- Support the overall area PCS effort, including all aspects of specifying equipment, programming implementation, performance testing and maintaining documentation;
- Specify and design new systems and instruments;
- Support unit operations in regards to assisting with operating procedures, performance testing, Management of Change (MOC), participate in process hazard assessments (PHA), continuous improvement teams, OnePSS, etc.;
- Assure compliance with technical and legal standards and regulations, be responsible for meeting and help develop standards and operational excellence practices with respect to PCT

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering;
- Possess thorough understanding of PCS concepts and practices;
- Project management, stakeholder collaboration and influencing capability;
- Understanding of Functional Safety;
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six year’s experience with Process Control Systems including Instrument and Electrical in Manufacturing;
- DeltaV programming experience;
- Experience leading project teams.
