Tronox is recruiting for a Process Engineer to join our Production Department and provide technical support at our Chandala site in Muchea, WA.

 

The Process Engineer is an integral part of the Operations team and responsible for providing daily technical support and short-term technical improvements that support safe, quality, low-cost tonnes.

 

The position is offered on permanent basis, working a 9 day fortnight.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Process Engineer will be accountable for:

 

  • Analysis of process and consumable efficiencies including optimisation
  • Supporting the Production Manager with technical analysis, opinions and options
  • Production, processes, metallurgical accounting
  • Support and management of production data and databases
  • Identifying anomalies within the process control instrumentation
  • Supporting graduate Process Engineers to develop their skills
  • Responsible for the calibration of the BlueQube, Pananalytical benchtop analyser and dry stream analysers and setting daily quality targets.

 

About you

To be successful in your application you will ideally need to possess:

 

  • A creative outward mindset
  • A willingness to openly support a team through your skills and perspectives
  • Tertiary qualification in Process Engineering or equivalent
  • Field Experience in a mineral processing environment
  • Experience in data gathering/modelling (MATLAB,LiMS,JKSimMet and Phyton), root cause analysis, work and project management systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and computer literacy skills
