Our client is a major player in the global insurance sector involved in the facilitation of cover for major refinery and petrochemical facilities worldwide. The company operates out of 50 countries addressing many high hazard sectors including oil and gas, mid and downstream hydrocarbons and chemicals, power, marine, mass transport and so on. This is a challenging and exciting role for a highly experienced chemical engineer with extensive experience of refinery operations ideally acquired within a major energy/production company. The appointee will undertake site inspections and physical condition surveys, review operating and maintenance procedures and practices, assess unit operations, undertake desktop risk assessments, and produce clear, high-quality reports for underwriters, clients, and brokers. Our client is specifically looking for substantial exposure to the support of major downstream COMAH plant as a production /operations / maintenance engineer/ manager and is not looking for dedicated design or project specialists currently.
Foreign language skills would be welcome. Up to 80 days international travel a year can be expected
