JOB SUMMARY
The Principal Process Engineer shall be responsible for the design, review and verification of engineering on assigned projects to ensure safe, high quality, fit for purpose design in addition to providing consultancy services and studies to SABIC Affiliates. As a lead he shall ensure process engineering is aligned with all disciplines, executing the work within budget and on schedule whilst motivating and managing a team of engineers and designers and developing younger engineers.
Job Purpose & Responsibilities
Sound knowledge of design of steam generation, distribution and condensate collection systems. Candidate must have experience in selection of various types of boilers including fired tube, water tube boilers, waste heat boilers etc. Candidate must have produced steam & condensate balance independently and have worked on steam distribution and condensate collection/management systems. Ideal candidate shall have proven experience in specifying the requirements of process furnaces/fired heaters and proficiency in modeling fired heaters in Aspen EDR and HTRI. Experience in developing incinerator package specification is shall be an added advantage. In addition, the candidate should be able to perform following design activities independently.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Typically 20 years’ experience in the petrochemical, fertilizer, refining, oil or gas industrial environments. Ideally, 15 years should be with a recognized international FEED/EPC contractor, performing process engineering to build green and brown field facilities in the petrochemical or related chemical and Fertilizer industry.
