Where the Chemistry Happens

 

 

 

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and be responsible for all technical support for the Automotive & Heavy-Duty Diesel Catalyst Manufacturing process. In this role, your focus will be supporting Process Engineering Team, Slurry preparations and Coating operations.  In addition, you will support operations in day-to-day production troubleshooting as needed, and Process Optimization, as well as lead various Continuous Improvement projects at site to improve overall productivity, improve quality, reducing process losses and scrap reduction. 

 

 

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success  

 

 

    Leveraging your education in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field and your experience in Process Engineering at Chemical or Manufacturing site, you will troubleshoot and support production issues at slurry preparations and coating operations.

 

 

 

 

    Your thorough knowledge of statistical process control, statistical analysis, and quality improvement processes or tools will be essential, as you identify problems and opportunities in the related areas and define, structure, plan, and implement improvement projects to satisfy site, business group, and corporate objectives required.

 

 

 

 

    Applying your experience with Minitab, SAP, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, VBA and Word, you will lead creation of all necessary documentation for new product launches

 

 

 

 

    Relying upon your Six Sigma certification and Lean Manufacturing experience, you will be responsible for special projects related to safety, productivity, 5s, lean manufacturing, visual management.

 

 

 

 

    Your ability to build relationships with all levels in the organization will serve you well, as you support special projects implementation, as well as support operations on departmental Key Performance Indicators.

 

 

 

 

    Displaying your technical knowledge of inorganic batch chemical unit operations – mixing, wet milling, slurry pumping, powder handling, drying process, you will own Precious Metal control and variance investigations.

 

 

 

 

    Combining your familiarity with quality systems and your automotive experience, you will be responsible for SOS/BOM/Recipes generation and maintenance
