Senior Project Manager (m/f/d)

The Global Engineering Services Division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

From the first idea for a new production plant to its commissioning, our unit GEM/E Large Capital Projects Europe is a partner of the divisions in the planning and realization of investment projects. With our work, we shape BASF's production processes in a sustainable and climate-friendly way.

• You will be leading major projects and be responsible for their execution in line with functions, on time and on budget.
• Your tasks will include clarifying orders, developing the strategy for handling the project through to completion, and implementation within a team.
• Besides, you will function in the project as the central point of contact for our internal customers.
• You will direct and monitor our contractors and ensure that our projects are handled through to completion within the scope of the project goals.
• Furthermore, you will lead a multidisciplinary project team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• engineering degree, preferred in process engineering or chemical engineering
• several years of professional experience in project management, plant engineering and construction
• experience in contracting and EPC execution of Large Capital Projects
• several years of experience in leading diverse teams
• strategic and systematic mindset and the ability to consequently transfer this into execution
• teamwork to establish a positive team spirit
• excellent communication skills in diverse environments - on the construction site as well as with the different stakeholders
• acting with entrepreneurial drive always considering ecological and economic aspects
