£40 to £80,000 PA + Bens


Our client is a major player in pre-FEED advisory and consulting services to the petroleum refining and petrochemical sector. Established for many years and with an international reputation and presence, the organisation is the go- to choose for many integrated NOC’s, specialist refiners and petrochemical manufacturers, banks, government agencies, investors, regulators and so on. Our client’s services include due diligence, feasibility and investment studies, M + A support, operational and LP optimisation and development, product realignment and plant relocation assessments, licensed technology valuation, application and infringement reviews, product supply, demand, and price forecasting etc. The business also boasts a significant capability in reliability and maintenance which it is looking to strengthen.


Key responsibilities and activities:


  • Provide RAM consulting support to clients during all phases of a engagement, including benchmarking, gap analysis, solution identification, solution ranking, implementation, and follow up.
  • Provide consultancy to clients in various areas including:
    • Reliability in design, including:
      • Reliability modelling
      • Total life cycle costing
      • Asset management strategies
    • Reliability improvements, including:
      • Strategies & planning
      • Bad actor identification
      • RCFA
      • FMEA
    • Turnarounds’ effectiveness, including:
      • Planning
      • Execution
      • Management
    • Routine maintenance, including:
      • Work processes & practices
      • Metrics
    • Equipment
      • Process equipment - static and rotating
      • General metallurgy
  • Lead projects and sub-projects and deliver solutions to clients
  • Support the sales and proposals activities
  • Develop and assist with the population of database for reliability data
  • Participate in the Jacobs cross-sector network – “Availability Community of Practice”



Must have:

  • Refinery or petrochems site experience
  • RAM experience
  • Willingness to expand role
  • Adaptable to clients’ needs
  • Confident in front of clients
  • Self-starter
  • Engineering degree( or equivalent)


Would like to have:

  • Consulting experience
  • Reliability modelling background
  • Mechanical engineer
