Process Engineer II (2103143) – Freeport, TX




Where the Chemistry Happens




We are seeking a professional like you to join the Polyamide & Ammonia technology technical support team.  In this role, you will contribute to the long-term economic success of the technology, and be responsible for performing material and energy balances, designing equipment, developing P&IDs, filling out specification sheets for equipment and instruments, as well as preparing process safety documentation for safety reviews.  



Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success



    Leveraging your education in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, your process engineering experience, and your ability to work in a matrix organization, you will offer support for capital project scope development. 



    Your practical experience in hydraulic or pneumatic design and analysis, and equipment design will serve you well, as you develop and maintain process simulations for the technology. 



    Relying upon your strong understanding process engineering concepts and their applications, and your experience performing process engineering activities for refrigerated liquids and polymers, you will perform process engineering studies and evaluate the economic feasibility of alternative concepts.



    Demonstrating your excellent leadership skills and ability to lead teams, you will manage the relief device program which includes performing revalidation calculations, identifying deficiencies, recommending technical solutions, and updating documentation.



    Combining your robust knowledge of OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, API, ASME and other applicable code and regulations and standards, and your exceptional communication skills, you will participate in review and auditing process of PSM/RMP requirements, BASF EHS auditing process, and PHAs.
