Job Description

Tyvek® is a flash-spun nonwoven fabric, lightweight and versatile yet resilient and durable, with leading global market positions in construction, protective apparel, medical packaging and others.

The proprietary Tyvek® Technology involves a wide variety of engineering disciplines, such as chemical and mechanical engineering, polymer chemistry & processing, polymer solutions, electrostatics, aerodynamics, material science and more.

As Tyvek® Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team to help grow the Tyvek® business. In your role you will make an impact by:

  • Taking ownership of the process, for process safety management and for the environment

  • Identifying and implementing process and technology improvements

  • Participating in CAPEX project teams by providing conceptual design, design calculations, and project basic data

  • Participating and leading Process Hazard Analyses

  • Collaborating with the Operations and Maintenance Crews, and with the Engineering Department

  • Managing process technology documentation

For you to be successful in your new role, you need the following qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree preferred – e.g. Process / Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline. Bachelor’s degree (in same fields) with experienced also considered.

  • Broad and general interest in technology.

  • Fast learner, capability and willingness to acquire new competencies.

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.

  • Strong team player capable of interdisciplinary teamwork and of fostering a respectful work environment.

  • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking, problem solving, creativity, global approach to a problem and practical capabilities.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and/or German (with willingness to improve) - knowledge of both languages is a plus.
